It does add a rich, luxurious color to your “blond@ gravies. However, it does add a tad of sweetness in my opinion. Somewhat like carrots cooked in your roast beef adds a little sweetness. My oldest two bring a lunch from home most days to school, or they wouldn't get enough to eat. Good luck making this for 600 people! I hope you can find the "large" recipe! :)Queen of the Househttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17021273861312102766noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8976754868946996200.post-41250731921571644502013-04-18T14:29:28.154-05:002013-04-18T14:29:28.154-05:00I work at an elementary school. We are having a huge event at our church "Wea Roundup" and we plan on making this for the dessert for the meal for around 600 people! Asking school cooks for their old recipe for a big amount!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8976754868946996200.post-53863547133817994362010-12-05T19:33:44.910-06:002010-12-05T19:33:44.910-06:00LOVE this recipe ;-)

I did research and found that basically -- kitchen bouquet is for darkening meats and gravies (why?) I have no clue.

It's supposed to be essentially flavorless -- just used for coloring and a bit of thickening.Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11984079966030350891noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8976754868946996200.post-30132844499780123492010-11-30T19:46:44.969-06:002010-11-30T19:46:44.969-06:00I just love Hamburger Gravy, it is pure comfort fo...I just love Hamburger Gravy, it is pure comfort food.
