Frugal, Easy Appetizer--Ham Rollups

We're going to a party tonight....and it's just for grownups!!!  :)  I don't know how long it's been since we've been to a party, just my husband and me!  Yay!  I am looking forward to it and thought I would share an easy, and frugal appetizer recipe with you.  I call them Ham Rollups, for lack of a more creative name!

Ham Rollups
*4 ounces cream cheese ($.65)
*3 flour tortillas ($.45)
*9 "mini munchers" pickles ($1.15)
*1/3 lb. ham ($1.50)
Spread the tortillas with a thin layer of cream cheese.

Place 2 slices of ham over cream cheese.

Place 3 pickles on ham.

Carefully roll up each tortilla.

Slice each rollup into half inch slices.  Fasten with toothpicks to hold tortilla together and prevent the pickle from escaping!!

Arrange on a plate and serve!!!

Makes approximately 30 appetizers.  Cost approx. $3.75.
I'm sure there are variations to this recipe.  Feel free to post a comment.  I would love to hear your ideas.

  1. These are yummy! Other things that I like to add at times to mine are: Lettuce, chopped tomatoes, chopped black olives, sliced radishes and shredded cheese. I think it is fun in the summertime to just see what is available in the garden to put in them.

I saw a link to your blog on our homeschool e-newsletter. They said you were a fellow Minnasotan so I thought I would drop by to "visit".

  2. Thanks for visiting, Abbi! I hope that my little blog can be of help to other women like me! :) It was fun to hear your ideas too. They sound really good! I love that you add things from your garden! :) Ahh....summer seems far away...the snow is so beautiful though...that's why I love having four seasons! :)
