FREE Open Office program---free alternative to Microsoft Office

I have some more advice that my local computer repair store gave me.  When I first bought my computer, it came with a free trial of Microsoft Office.  I used it for 6 months but then did not pay to continue to use it.   It was on my computer and I could open and print Word and Excel files that people sent me.  I could not, however, create files or change existing documents with it.  Because my hard drive had to be reformatted, I lost my Office program.  I mentioned it to the man at the repair store and he told me about Open Office.  It is a FREE download and it is FABULOUS!!!  It will create everything that I needed to create with Microsoft Office or Microsoft Works and it will open all of the files that people send me.  It will also save a document as a pdf, if you need that format instead.  If you need something like this, I would recommend taking a look at it, and downloading it for yourself.  Here is the link to Open Office. 1. You should also have a look at SSuite Office for a free office suite. They have a whole range of office suites that are free for download.

Their software also doesn't need to run on Java or .NET, like MS Office and so many open source office suites, so it makes their software very small, efficient, and easy to use. :)
