FREE Open Office program---free alternative to Microsoft Office

I have some more advice that my local computer repair store gave me.  When I first bought my computer, it came with a free trial of Microsoft Office.  I used it for 6 months but then did not pay to continue to use it.   It was on my computer and I could open and print Word and Excel files that people sent me.  I could not, however, create files or change existing documents with it.  Because my hard drive had to be reformatted, I lost my Office program.  I mentioned it to the man at the repair store and he told me about Open Office.  It is a FREE download and it is FABULOUS!!!  It will create everything that I needed to create with Microsoft Office or Microsoft Works and it will open all of the files that people send me.  It will also save a document as a pdf, if you need that format instead.  If you need something like this, I would recommend taking a look at it, and downloading it for yourself.  Here is the link to Open Office.
