We hardly ever go to the movies because:
1. It's too expensive!
2. Rarely is there anything I feel worth spending all of that cash to see in the theater, so we will usually wait until it is out on DVD.
If you are like me, you might want to check out your local theater to see if they are offering any summer promotions.
I have found the following in the Twin Cities:
Carmike Cinema Summer Kids' Series Every Tuesday this summer, starting at 10 a.m. they are offering $1 movie, $1 popcorn, $1 drink. (Check out the link for movies being shown.)
Theatre at Mall of America FREE movies every Wednesday and Saturday at 10 a.m. (Check out the link for movies being shown.)
Muller Family Theaters Summer 2010 Film Series
This series of carefully selected movies offers a variety of entertainment for children of all ages and interest. The series runs every Wednesday at 10:00am. Pick up your free tickets at Subway Restaurants anytime after June 1st. (Check your local Muller theater to see if they are participating.)
June 9: Hotel for Dogs
June 16: MADAGASCAR 2
June 23: Paul Blart Mall Cop
June 30: Monsters Vs Aliens
July 7: Night at Museum: Smithsonian
July 14: Ice Age: Dawn of Dinosaurs
July 21: Open Season
July 28: Shrek 1
August 4: Shorts
August 11: Shrek 2
I have never gone to any of these before, but I'm sure the theaters fill up quickly. It would be wise to get there early! :)
Do you have any other summer movie promotions that you know about? Please share them with the rest of us! :)
