Menu Plan Monday....November 8

Well, last week's plan was about 50% successful!  I made some of the meals as planned, and well.....the others didn't go quite as expected.  LOL!

The first fail started right away on Monday!  I thought I had browned hamburger in the freezer and it actually was taco meat!  I really had my heart set on Hamburger Gravy over mashed potatoes though!  I made the potatoes as planned and then found 2 frozen sausages in the freezer...I thought I would experiment....everyone ate it politely, but note to self:  make hamburger gravy with ground beef!  LOL!

I also didn't make a couple of meals that I had planned for, so they will be seeen again!

MONDAY:  Scalloped Potatoes and Ham (in the crock pot, hopefully)

TUESDAY:  Calzones (as we might be eating in shifts because of basketball practices)

WEDNESDAY:  Tortilla soup

THURSDAY:  Crockpot Lasagna

FRIDAY:  Chow Mein Hotdish (do the rest of you even know what a hotdish is???  LOL!  That makes me sound so much like a Minnesotan!)  :)

We are looking forward to our niece's wedding on Saturday!  Yay!  Dinner out!  :)

Do you have your menu plan down for the week?  I would encourage you to at least have a general idea...it helps!  :)

  2. Haha! :)
A "hotdish" is a casserole. I think some call it a "covered dish" in other parts of the country!
Thanks for stopping by today, Keli.

  3. OMG.. You're the first blogger I've seen with Hamburger Gravy over mashed potatoes in their menu. My family loves it but I think it's a midwest thing.
