Time Saver....Pre-scoop your ice cream!

Okay, I just have to giggle a little bit about this post!

I sometimes take things for granted....until I see other people talk about them as a great idea!! 

For example, Mandi (ItsCome2This) and I were e-mailing back and forth about a tip that Martha Stewart had on her website.  I wrote to Mandi and said, "Okay, I just have to say that Martha must have learned that ice cream trick from my mother! My mom always did, and still does, pre-scoop her ice cream. She goes one step farther and scoops them into cupcake liners. How cute is that?! It is a great idea! (Too bad Martha didn’t give her the credit! Heehee!)"

That is why I am writing this post!  Thank you Mandi, for encouraging me to do so!  I wanted to show you an even better way to pre-scoop your ice cream for a party, or like my mom does, just to make things a little more special! 

All you do is scoop a nice round scoop of ice cream and place it into a cupcake liner.  Place the ice cream filled liners on a tray, or in a cake pan, and place them in the freezer.  Let them freeze for a couple of hours, if possible, so they are a little firm.  If you are not going to use them within 8 hours, place a little saran wrap on top to keep them from tasting like your freezer! 

That is all you do.....very easy, and it saves you the time of scooping ice cream when you are trying to host your party.
